Megan adores Will - she always gets excited when she sees him. Sometimes she practically leaps off of my lap to get to him when he gets home.
Today I was playing in the floor with her and Will came in the room and sat down on the couch. We played for a little bit and then I sat up next to the couch and sat Megan on my leg. She stood up, by herself, to try to get to Will. He is great motivation for her to get moving.

Snorting
Megan has been able to snort for quite awhile now - but it didn't always seem like she meant to do it; sometimes she would do it and then laugh.
Well over the past week (while I was sick and Will was the main caregiver)she started snorting when Will would act like he was honking her nose. Now she snorts anytime you get close to her nose with your fingers. She also does it all the time by herself now when she is playing.

My kind of humor
Megan has started showing her sense of humor lately. The other day I was throwing a toy up and catching it and she was enjoying it until I dropped the toy and then she roared with laughter. This was not a one time event - once I realized she liked it when I dropped the item I started doing it on purpose and every time she would just laugh and laugh.
Since then anytime Will and I throw something to each other she laughs, when will juggles she laughs if he lets the items hit the floor. She laughed when Will tripped over a toy (he didn't make a sound, but the toy did and he stumbled). She laughs when you are playing ball with her and you hit her with the ball. She laughs when you throw the soft blocks and hit her. She laughs and laughs and laughs if you startle her.
What a cute little peanut.

Standing and more
We have been working with Megan to get her to stand up. She doesn't like to stand - so she won't pull up on things. On Tuesday, the therapist said something that clicked with me. She said that Megan doesn't have any reason or motivation to stand because all of her toys are on the floor. She has been putting toys up on the couch and table to try to get her to stand but it is not working.
I have had a table in the game room that I was going to bring out once Megan started standing. When Holly said that it occurred to me that the table toy would be great incentive for Megan to stand up. It works! She will stand for 2-3+ minutes at a time to play at the table - I stay right there with her so that I can keep her from falling over and so that she can sit on my leg when she is ready. Doing this is skipping a step for her - she is not just standing and holding onto something for support - she is standing and playing with a toy.
Megan has a toy that she sits in that rotates around a toy table. She hasn't ever been able to move the seat area around the table, or to intentionally rotate the seat from side to side. Lately we have had the toy on the carpet and haven't really put her in it much so that she spends most of her time on the floor. Holly put her in it when she was here last week to see if Megan would use her legs. A couple of days ago we moved the toy to the kitchen floor and put Megan in it. She walks around the table with ease and rotates the seat as needed. Today she walked around the table 7 times while playing in it - such a cute little one.

15 month check-up
Today was Megan's pediatrician appointment. She weighs 16 lbs 15.6 ounces and is 28 3/8" long. She grew an inch but only gained a few ounces. Dr Fennell said she was a perfectly healthy little girl.
During the exam he saw another tooth on the top that is in the just before stage of coming in - but knowing Megan it could be another 30 days before it makes it's appearance.
