Megan got a pink rocking horse for Christmas. If she stretches her legs she can reach the foot rests. Usually we sit her on the horse and hold her to rock her back and forth.
Yesterday during her developmental therapist visit, after doing that for a while we were just letting her sit there to see her balance, etc. Eventually, holding on by herself, she started slowly rocking back and forth. I was so proud of her - such a big girl. She was also making her horsey sound by "spitting" - it sounds very similar to the sound the horse makes.
Earlier in the session the therapist, Holly, pointed to herself and said "Holly" and Megan said "Hol" - it was awesome - she wouldn't repeat it but it was apparent she was trying to say Holly's name.
