We put Megan in the church nursery on Sunday and last night she woke up screaming at 9:30ish and when we got her up she had a cold. It was a very rough night for her. She may have gotten a total of 2 hours sleep. She would try to go to sleep and then probably tried to breathe through her nose and then would cry and the cycle would start over.
She had a mediocre day - she wouldn't eat very much and wouldn't let us near her with the bulb thing until late this afternoon. It is always a sad point in her cold when she wants me to clean out her nose. She handed me the "sucker" at one point to basically ask me to help her. She didn't eat much for breakfast, lunch or either snack. BUT after a little nap this evening, her letting me get her nose cleaned out and seeing daddy she ate like a champion at dinner. It was good to see her feeling well enough to put it away.
So, about the ninjas.....before dinner I had Megan in my lap and was playing with her and told her that her immune system was working hard to fight the cold and that it was like little ninjas fighting hard. I would say "fight, fight, fight" and punch the air with my hands and she would laugh. It was cute. So, Megan has little ninjas fighting on her behalf to make her well.
