Yesterday after I gave Megan the rest of her yogurt from the previous day, but it wasn't enough to satisfy her. So I offered her some apple sauce - I haven't given her any in a long time because she has never liked it but I thought it was worth a shot. It is still a no go - she took 2 bites and then would just shake her head no if I offered another bite.
So....I purchased a few convenience items for our vacation and they were sitting on the table. One of them was banana nut bread slices. So, I grabbed a part of a slice and put several pieces on her tray. After the first bite/taste she went bonkers and started shoving every piece she could into her mouth. Her mouth was so full she couldn't shut her lips and food was falling out with every chew. I kep telling her to wait and was trying to stop her but she is fast with those little hands. Eventually she had cleaned the tray and emptied her mouth and we were ready to start again. I put 5 pieces on her tray and she went nuts again - trying to grab them all. After the 2nd piece was in her mouth I put my hand over the remaining pieces and told her to eat what was in her mouth first. AND then the sneakiness began....
The first time she reached up and knocked over her cup which I reached up and sat up with my opposite hand. However, my attention was diverted and she reached under my other hand and grabbed another piece and shoved it in her already full mouth. She proceeded to divert my attention again and reached with her other hand and grabbed another piece. By this time I was laughing because, really, it was hysterical.
Megan sure does love her banana bread.
