We bought Megan some age appropriate puzzles - the ones with the really big knobs on them. We played with them with her for the first time on Saturday. She was great at grabbing the pieces and pulling them out.
Yesterday we played with the puzzles again a couple of times. Last night we were both playing with her and I asked her to grab the orange (one puzzle has an orange, an apple, a pear and a banana), and she grabbed the orange. I asked her to get the apple, etc and she grabbed the correct fruit each time. We did this with her several times and she executed correctly almost every time. Sometimes, no matter what we asked her to get, she would grab the banana - it is a fun one to get.
She used both hands to get the pieces out depending on which side of her they were located. I started helping her put the pieces back in - as long as my hand was on hers she did great with this - but as with putting things back in containers this was not nearly as much fun as taking them out.
