Catching up

Megan is still waking up at night but I think at this point it is just a habit since she has been doing it for so long.  Her top teeth appear to have finally broken through and stayed through.  She has had a low grade temp the past couple of days and a tiny bit of a runny nose, but they don't seem to have really bothered her or slowed her down.

She has also been incredibly vocal the past few days. It started 3 days ago when Will got home from work.  He sat her in his lap and asked her how her afternoon was and she started telling him.  Every 20-30 seconds, or when she would pause, he would say "what else" or "then what" and she would start chattering again and gesturing. It was adorable and she has been pretty vocal since.  She chats with me during the day and fills Will in at night. 

She loves Sam so much - yesterday I told her I was going to get him up from nap and when I walked in the room with him she started clapping and dancing.  This morning Sam was throwing a fit and couldn't seem to get himself under control so I put him in his bed to calm down.  I was playing in the floor with Megan during this time and she reached up toward the wall area and grunted like she wanted something.  I asked her if she wanted me to go get Sam and she smiled and said yes.  I asked her if she wanted me to play with her and she just looked at me like "no, mom" so I asked about getting Sam again and she said yes.

This morning Megan and I were playing in the floor by the couch when she reached toward the table and grunted for something.  I asked her if she wanted her piggy and she said yes so I said "let's go get it".  I stood up, helped her stand up and then helped her walk across the floor to the table.  She didn't want to stand at the table when we got there so I gaver her the pig to play with in the floor - after all, she earned that piggy.
