One of the things we are working on with Megan is her getting on her knees and staying there to play. She hasn't ever enjoyed getting on her knees so the PT showed me some tips on how to "trap" her in the position so she can get used to it.
Last night while we were playing with Megan before bed I decided to try putting her on her knees at one of her play tables. I had to "trap" her for the first 1-2 minutes and then I backed off and she continued to stay in that position and play for 10+ minutes. I was so proud of her. I have been able to get her to play on her knees for 8-10 minutes at a time, but I have had her "trapped" the entire time before.
Yesterday afternoon Will said that Megan tried to get into her musical chair by herself. She was sitting in the floor and started backing up into the chair, trying to somehow push herself into the chair. When he asked her if she wanted to sit in the chair she gave him the affirmative smile and clapping. So cute.
