Two nights ago Will and I were working with Megan to get her to stand up and reach for toys. I was sitting about 12 inches from Will and he had Megan sitting on his leg. I put my leg up and put a toy on my knee and she would stand up and grab it. Will was steadying her by holding her torso. At one point I turned toward her while she was standing and she reached out and grabbed my hands. THEN she picked up her right leg and took a step toward me and then dove at me with the rest of herself. This is the first time she has even attempted to take an actual step.
On Tuesday, Will made jambalaya and on Wednesday we ate it for lunch and I offered Megan a bite, after she had finished her own lunch, and she really liked it. She took a couple of bites and made "mmmmmm" noises while eating it. Very cute.
Yesterday during Megan's nap time she was fussing a little bit off and on. I knew she would go to sleep in a couple of minutes if I left her alone. After a few minutes she put her hands up to her ears and then yelled "ahhhhhhh" really, really loudly for as long as her breath lasted, which was several seconds. When she was done she looked toward the door for a few seconds to see if I was coming and then when I didn't she went back to playing. I was watching her on the monitor and laughing.
