Megan has had a "fish tank" musical toy in her crib since she was old enough not to be scared of it. She likes to turn it on when she wakes up and listen to the music. She also turns it on when she is trying to go to sleep but is having a difficult time. She turns it on, grabs her blanket and snuggles down and is usually asleep within a couple of minutes.
Since lowering the crib yesterday she can no longer reach the fish tank unless she is sitting up. So last night when she woke up and couldn't reach it she cried, and cried. And then decided to just keep sitting up in various parts of the crib and fussing because she was so tired. This took place from 2-4 am.
So today I decided to try something new. I removed the fish tank and put a CD on for her. I turned it on when I left the room. I am not sure how she will do with non-stop music; but only one way to find out. She stayed laying down for about 15 minutes and then sat up and starting dancing to the music.
